"I AM" THE HAPPINESS OF GRATITUDE!
When you really want to be happy, when you want to be permanently happy, then you must, under the Great Law of the Universe, learn to send your Gratitude, first of all, to your own Life, to the Great Source that placed you here!
When you really want to be happy, when you want to be permanently happy, then you must, under the Great Law of the Universe, learn to send your Gratitude, first of all, to your own Life, to the Great Source that placed you here, then to everything that has brought you any good. Because in your refusal to acknowledge the Source of all good, the Source from which you have come and the Source that supplies you with everything good in your world—in refusing to consciously remember that and send forth Gratitudeto your Source—man, you, and every other human being on this Earth would close the door to the greater supply of all Life's Blessings.
There is nothing in this Universe that can make you so happy as intense Gratitude for everything that you receive which is good. Do you realize when someone does something nice for you, that it floods your world with a great Happiness? And if you would constantly keep your Gratitude going back to the Source that enabled the other person to do that, and then to the person—because that one is the channel through which that good came—do you realize that you would, everytime you thought of that individual or thought of the good which that one had done for you, you would be extremely happy. And you can hold that Happiness permanently if you will remember to be grateful constantly, even for the smallest things that Life has given you.
Mankind are surrounded constantly by so much that is wonderful, beautiful, and magnificent which has been placed here in this world for their use and which they did not exert energy of themselves to bring onto this planet. Then if the human beings who want to be happy will remember to cultivate the Power of Gratitude, they will sustain their Happiness; and then each day will be more happy than the one before.
Ignorance of the Law of Life is the chain of destruction around mankind today; and there isn't a human being on the face of this Earth who cannot understand where his Source is and how to draw forth Its greater Blessing of Permanent Happiness through the Power of Gratitude when the intellect will ask why. Do you realize that the Light within your Heart is really always grateful to everything good in this Universe and is constantly sending forth Gratitude because It is craving Happiness? And nobody can be happy without feeling Gratitude to the greater part of Life for all the opportunities Life constantly gives to each one.
